New 22lr

The 22 conversions are quite rare in Canada. I have one and its fun to shoot this beast with its very long straight pull and to ping the gongs when people are expecting a much bigger bang. Are there any dealers with them for sale?

55recce, not to my knowledge....these conversions are quite rare.
A Colorado merchant sells one for US $ 3995.00.

barbarossa, you have the Lienhard K-31 KK, built for the 22lr and not a conversion....a very rare bird in Canada.

Back from the stand.
16 degrees C ; wind : 0 ; 50 meters ; CCI Standard Velocity ; 30 bullets ; front rest only.
Can be better but these were the first shots.
A real treat to shoot that rifle.
Now, I used the following routine :
- ring in the "take down position", open chamber, feed, close chamber, ring at "fire" position, fire, ring in "take down" position, open chamber, eject.
No resistance at all, hence no stress on the conversion.

Very nice. I got mine from Corwin arms a few years ago when they were extremely scarce here, it's a private gunsmith conversion of an 1896/11 with a fantastic feeding system built into the magazine body. Everyone with a .22 conversion needs a bayonet for it.

Absolutely....
There is a gun show around here on november 2nd....I really need a bayonet for the K-31 and the K-98....if the price is right of course, because some are sold on the exaggeration side a bit.

K-31 restauration finished.
I sprayed the wood with Easy-off, rinced well....that had for effect to lift some little shocks...drying time...whitening with hydrogen peroxyde....very very very little sanding at some places only....five coats of shellac....0000 steel wool to break the shine.
I stopped there because I just wanted to leave a certain "vécu" to the rifle and not over clean it.IMG_7558.jpgIMG_7560.jpg
