SMLE cutaway

Used for training purposes, this model has the correct SKU number on the barrel, bolt and stock and the bolt has been sectioned. Not all of the cutaways had their bolts done. If anyone has further info on these unusual models, please chime in.

Sometimes you also see cutaway chambers, and more magazine cuts than yours. Often the areas of removed wood or metal are painted red to make it clear what was removed.

I was under the impression that they all had some sort of chamber cut out

but then with enfields anything seems to be possible

No, most don’t unless they are the full length rifles. At least for the examples I have seen.

I’d love to get ahold of a full length SMLE or No.4 rifle. But, they seem to be as rare as hens teeth.
