Just landed! The new .223 Rem gas operated semi-automatic Chimera rifle. Get them now while they are still available.

Yes! It takes STANAG and other AR-15 pattern magazines.

The firearm ships with a 18.5-inch barrel (quick twist rate 1:8, thread pitch 1/2×28), two standard 5/10 AR-magazines, includes a Picatinny rail on the receiver, muzzle brake, cleaning kit.

As the Chimera PB-223 makes its Canadian debut, it promises to address the evolving needs of precision, ergonomics, and modularity in rifle design. NOTE: this is not the Australian push-button version, but instead a standard semi-automatic.

This is a Non-Restricted Firearm

Is this a "push button" semi? as in it ejects a casing and you push a button each time to feed the next cartridge?
Thanks for asking.

TLDR is NO

Longer answer is: The model you see online reviews for are the Australian variant which is a push-button action. Each shot ejects automatically, but requires a push of a button to close the action and chamber another round.

THIS IS NOT THAT MODEL - Our version for sale now is straight forward semi-auto

The spec sheet states 9lbs but the right up states 6.3lbs. Me thinks the 9lbs is probably shipping weight. Can VRS would check this?

Cheers

Yes indeed! Defintiely a good feature.
Any chance of this model with the "scary" chassis being imported?

That stock looks very similar to my old Alpharms shotgun stock. I found the LOP with the folder was ridiculously long. You can remove the folding mech. and it just becomes a more reasonable adjustable stock.

Something to consider if you’re after the folder specifically
