PTG bolts

Hi all,

Any experience with the PTG bolts? Either one piece, or replacement.

Currently have a Remington 700 Varmint special in 222, but have been wanting to try something in the 6BR family.

I like the idea of a switch barrel, but am I better off having a separate rifle?
 
I used one to build up a target rifle. Got the version with no handle, standard Remington extractor. Installed a Holland pattern longer bolt handle. Excellent piece.
 
At the time I ordered the bolt body, they could export the body without an ITAR permit; a bolt with handle required the permit. Unfinished vs finished. I do not know what the situation is now. They could tell you what is required.
I had installed handles on Remington bolts previously, and had made the necessary jig. I use silver braze paste and an oxy-acetylene torch. By installing the handle I was able to optimize its location
It is necessary to confirm that both locking lugs are making good contact with the receiver abutments.
 
I have used probably 6 of them over the years.
The bolts all worked fine.
They all were rem 700 in sa,la standard,mag and Lapua bolt faces .
I don’t think I would ever order a reamer from them again.
