RE: Canada Post Strike

Carney will "starve" the postal workers back to work ...they can't live on strike pay and that won't last long ... they'll be out for weeks, probably months

Canada Post doesn't even bring the package to my door like every other courier service does, they angrily buzz me and make me come down to their truck. They don't have any interest in delivering on weekends. The mail carrier in my area is known in our neighborhood by most residents to be very rude, aggressive and unprofessional. The company is hemorrhaging money year after year to the tune of $500M or more annually. I don't know where they get the balls to hold the whole country hostage AGAIN, while they make demands from a failing business model where they want more for doing less.
They have been subsidized for too long as is, which has shielded them from feeling the errors of their ways and prolonged this strike issue as a result for months without resolution. Adapt and overcome or be left behind...

What needs to be done is get rid of all unions. Cops, teachers, postal, and all the rest. They are for-profit corporations unto themselves that in reality care not at all about the employees they are supposed to represent.

But the lazy and the foolish continue to think they are somehow benefiting from paying hefty union dues.

so many fools in this thread

Hey guys. Guess what, without Canada post you as a civilian can no longer ship guns.

Hell, the way you ship guns now is a GREY area…. Wonder how much you all would cry whine and moan if you couldn’t ship the used guns you sell?

To every other courier they are DANGEROUS GOODS. Which means $$$$$ and a business account / license AT MINIMUM.

Did none of the morons spouting off here about letting it go bankrupt never wonder why every single gun they have ever received from them used market (and most retailers) comes from Canada post ?

Or is critical thinking not a strong suit for a lot of folks here ?

Without Canada post this hobby is dead much faster than a gun grab.

Think big picture.

Here let this sink in.

Canada post is a federal service that benefits every Canadian if they so wish.

Yet the budget for bribing the Indians in Canada and greasing their palms is FOURTY times more money for a single digit percent of the population.

Billion dollar repayable loan one year for a crown corp and the man babies cry their eyes out yet FORTY billion ANNUALLY for greasing palms and all you guys are pretty ####ing quiet. JFC get your #### figured out.

Mail delivery in nearly every country in the world is the responsibility of the government. This is the largest country in the world sparsely populated except for a handful of metropolitan areas. It is idiotic to expect a universal mail delivery service to be profitable.

Public sector unions fit this description by and large …private industry unions …not so much
