I would be more concerned about why the lever return latch left a divot in the barrel. That pin should travel freely in its bore and at some point the barrel was closed and the pin didn't move and left a dent in the barrel. Those barrels are made out of some soft steel. Time to strip the receiver down and clean out all the little nooks and crannies.

Is that in supposed to move in and out with ease when the gun is Broke open? I can’t push it into reciever unless I push the break latch open a slight bit more then it goes in freely

bdft, good catch, I didn't look at the last picture. I took the stock off my 690 this morning and ran the receiver thru a couple cycles in my ultrasonic cleaner. No dirt, grime or carbon under the stock but the gun was dirty enough to make it a little hard to open. All good now.

That pin is supposed to move freely into the receiver when you close the action and that releases the top lever. If it's dirty or sticky or made in Turkey the pin may not move freely every time. That is what caused the dent to form in your barrel. It sounds like you need to take that apart and clean it up. Watch for tiny flying springs.

The pin does move freely in and out

If the steel is soft enough for that "button" to cause that indent, eventually you may have develop a problem. Right now - no.
