Wincester 101

$1500 would not be out of line for a quick sale. $1800 might be a place to start. Winchester 101's are a very underrated. I have a 12 ga choked SK/SK that was my go to skeet gun for about 10 years. I also have a 20 ga choked Mod/IC. Depending on what the gun is choked and what the buyers intended use might change the price by $100 either way.

Yes, they are nice gun... Sold one in similar shape (but with a recoil pad added) maybe 1-2 years ago for $1k.

I concur, they are probably underrated... And yours seems to have nice wood.

But seems like folks will often prefer a Turkish gun with more bell's and whistles for the same $
- and they'll be able to add it to the credit card bill... But that's for another thread ;)

I paid a little over $1500 for a 20ga 101 3yrs ago
Probably more then I needed to but it's a nice gun to walk around a field with.

I dont buy turkish guns either.

Fixed chokes will negatively effect the price.
Not always, it depends on the intended use. If someone is looking for a gun to only shoot trap, F/M or F/F would be fine. Skeet shooters would lean towards Sk/Sk. If upland game was your agenda Mod/IC would be a good choice. For some reason Winchester 101's seemed to have been offered in different configurations of chokes other than most field guns that were mostly offered in F/M for the most part.

My 12 ga. 101 probably has between 70,000 and 80,000 rounds through it and has never had a problem. I don't think a Turkish gun would last long enough to see that many rounds.

I have bought and sold a fairly large number of shotguns over the years, and having interchangeable chokes increases the potential buyers pool, and almost always increases the price as a result. Even if the fixed chokes do fit a particular buyers intended use, the buyer will still likely offer a bit less, for fixed chokes.

here we go the gun nutz pricing experts 😂😂
do some actual price checking before you tell someone what you think they could sell there gun first off the guy that said 1800$ not a clue about prices
facts epps have two 101's 899$ and 1199 have been for sale for months
another fact
i just sat at the edmonton gun show for 2 days at my tables 3 101' s on different tables 900- 1100$ not one sold they all went home with the owners
but price as you will
even on gun nutz they don't se for 1100$

Well - More details are needed- barrel length, chokes, LOP, top lever position, etc. in order to assess the desirability of the gun. For me, if it had IC/mod chokes, and low mileage, it would make a very nice upland gun, and worth 12-1300$. I've always found the 101's tend to kick, combine that with the hard butt pad, and its utility as a sporting clay gun would be limited.

And a Citori in the same condition, and same chokes/barrel length, will sell for higher prices than a 101.
