I have a Smith & Wesson Model 3000 Police Shotgun, which is a Japanese Remington 870 copy but with one of the slickest shotgun pumps you will have ever experience! They made a very nice shotgun back in the 1980s....

I gave my brother one of these years ago , it's chambered in 7mmRM . He still uses it regularly . A solid , reliable and accurate rifle .

Bought a half dozen or so of those actions when they were clearing them out. Think they were around 250 back then. Built a few different cartridges on them, they were well made actions. - dan

Probably about the same as a Rem 700, they're about as capable an action. Though with less aftermarket support. - dan

The deluxe did not come with sights, it came with a stock with a high cheek piece that was designed for scope use.
The Powder Keg in Kamloops had a whole bunch of them when they were being discontinued. They sold fast.

I don't see many 700 actions for 500 anymore. Mostly in the 7 to 800 range. - dan
