Looking for a good cheap defence load 00 buckshot

Depends on pattern desired and cylinder bore or choked. I have not found cheap that will pattern out of cylinder bore, need to spend more and get flight control. You might get lucky and be able to pattern with cheap bulk and a choke combo but I have yet to see this as a outcome.
From what I know,
Trial by error + desired accuracy = ammo choice
Defence from what at what distance are you worried about? That what I ask myself when figuring out desired accuracy.

If this is for actual potential use, spend the $ on Federal Flight Control or Hornady Versa-tite 8 pellet low recoil 00. Pattern your gun with a few rounds, then keep the rest aside for that rainy day.
