I came across this relic and picked it up as a wall hangar. I'm wondering if anyone here would know what it is. I've snapped a few pictures.

Some of the pictures came in upsidedown

There are decorative markings on the barrel which I've tried to capture.

It is a smooth bore and looks to be a .62 caliber or so. It reminds me of a Northwest Trade Gun but I've not seen those with rings over the barrel to secure it.

Any insight would be appreciated.

Certainly a Spanish miquelet type lock. Replacement mainspring - the original would have been in front of the hammer, secured where those slots are, not behind the hammer.
May not have been flint originally, could be original percussion.

Lifted from the internet, here is a percussion miquelet lock on a pistol. Note the mainspring. If you can remove the lock from your gun, check it inside and out for evidence that there had been a pan, frizzen pivot screw and frizzen spring.

Thanks, I'll check this out tomorrow

Edit: I managed to get the lock off without too much difficulty, as well as the barrel

Underside of the lock:

The top of the lock is quite jagged at the front. The ramrod is also broken off inside the stock.
