Fn C1

If you want to own a FN C1 rifle in Canada, you need a Prohibited 12.5 licence. Otherwise you'll have to settle for a deactivated one. Although, a deactivated one would be just as useful as a live one these days, the CFO won't issue permits to shoot prohibited firearms anymore.

Well then my collection will have to be a bolt action only collection. Canadian firearms laws suck! A deactivated on would be cool but I think that I will just stick with my enfields all ready have 2

You'll also need a deactivated Bren gun and Mag 58 as well. :D Although, on the bright side, the 1919 is still non-restricted, and as of very recently, you can build yourself your own restricted sten gun out of parts and a custom new magwell!

"...means that a beautiful rifle has been destroyed..." Most of 'em have already been chopped.
"...legally converted-to-semi-auto..." Yep. 12(3)'s are evil.

There are dewat C1's available, unfortunately it means that a beautiful rifle has been destroyed.

The up side is there are more UK L1 (and ugly Ishapore) rifles than C1s around. There are some obvious parts that can be exchanged - furniture, carrying handle, dust cover, bolt carrier, cocking handle, change lever, body catch, etc. If the gun has to be useless deadweight, at least make it look right.

If I haven't already, I'd be glad to. My wallet's been hemmhoraging non-stop between gun purchases and donations. Thank you all very much (please insert bare-ass smiley here LOLOL). It was the concerted effort of the semi-auto collectors club here in Quebec (don't remember the exact official title) that got me my G3 back.
Just so's I'm clear, I can bring my L1A1, because it was never full-auto, right?

Semi-auto collectors club in Quebec

... It was the concerted effort of the semi-auto collectors club here in Quebec (don't remember the exact official title) that got me my G3 back. ...

Who are these rugged individuals? How dare they challenge their elders and betters in government and public security? Don't they know semi-automatic firearms are bad?

Jokes aside, this sounds like a group whose interests should be more widely known and supported. Any contact information or suggestions where they hang out on the 'net?

Peter, no you can't shoot your L1A1.......Its a prohib, therefore verboten.....

No SAPs (Special Authorization to Possess) for any F/A, C/A or 12(5) firearms.....

Welcome to Canada, you can buy a M14 across the shelf yet only look at the FNc1 in a 'story book' extensive paperwork for a AR15 yet the gun that started the whole ball rolling the mini 14 just buy it at Cdn tire and take er home:confused:
