I'm stoked for this.

Basically limited optics from USPSA.

2011s, long boy Glock 34s. It's nice to be able to add some tricked out parts and not land in open.

Sean president of IPSC Canada did vote on it. It has passed at the AGM in South Africa for IPSC world. It will be in the new rulebook.
Sorry, I asked Sean if it was going to be a recognized class at the 2026 Nationals here in Prince George. This was his reply, "The IPSC Canada board will determine if Optics will be recognized at next year’s nationals in the spring of 2026 based on initial participation levels." I assumed this ment recognized as a class in general across Canada.

Too bad can’t shoot major.
Major may look attractive for higher-scoring charlies and deltas, but you really need to be getting alphas and they score the same. And the greater magazine capacity for less frequent reloads, and reduced recoil, makes minor the better option.

Here's my optics Div 320-11 build.

*Stainless Pro-Cut slide
*Vortex Defender ST Enclosed
*Brouwer M1823 Aluminum Grip Module with mag funnel
*Agency Arms 12lb recoil spring & stainless guiderod
*Extended Mag release
*Thumb rest takedown lever
*Stock FCU/trigger

It's great for the sport. None of the silly restrictions of production, none of the silly impracticalities of open, no more artificially propping up dead calibers to make major. It's affordable, relevant and easy to enforce. Do whatever you want so long as it's got a slide ride dot and no goofy barrel weights. The only criticism I have is that if you run a weaponlight, you have to take the batteries out or disable it. That should change.

Excited about the new division. The canik is ready to roll!
