CZ 527 bolt handle scope clearence

At one point I had the old factory, new factory, and a glades armory bolt handle.

The action is a little prone to binding, I find the new style much better then the glades armory one was for smoothness.
Not as much off center pressure.

Warne medium fixed rings with a leupold 2-7x... I just couldn't find the QD rings at the time.
How was your cheek weld?. Did you have to raise your face abit to see the crosshairs or was it perfect?.

Shockingly different people fit stocks differently

Cheek risers and rings of various heights can resolve any issues you may or may not have. Wait until you get the rifle and you will see if there is even a problem.

Ahh k so wait till I get the rifle and see how it fits then get the Warne medium qd rings.

Depending on the ocular, you may need high rings. Just wait until you shoulder it and then go for there. As I mentioned, medium Warne rings worked for me just fine with a smaller Japan-made Bushnell 3500 2-7x32.

I think the 527 is superior but my guess is maybe to cut costs?. Im not exactly sure why maybe people who own the 600s can comment on there performance?.
I had one in 223. Always wanted a 527 in 7.62x39 but not willing to pay collectors prices for one now that they don’t make them and everyone wants one. I did have a 527 in 223 for a few years and have a 600 lux now. There is no comparison. Also have a Ruger American in 7.62x39. My opinion the best rifle like this out there right now is the Howa mini actions but I’m still hoping they bring back the 527 one day

My opinion is that CZ, like all the others, are racing to the bottom. The manufacturing costs are just way too high to make the 527 viable anymore, without a premium + price tag. There's always 1 or 2 for sale on EE, so grab one when they come up. $1500 for a mini-Mauser action rifle is still worth it. I wish I had purchased one in 6.5 Grendel and 222 Remington !! BTW, there's a MINT factory synthetic stocked one on EE right now, and includes an NECG rear peep site !! Grab it!

^me too.

BUT, I can't even say i knew CZ changed the bolt handle on later models, because to me...scoping a 527 starts with picking a scope with a smaller diameter "occular housing". (=eye piece) I like the Bushnell Elite 3200s for this, put one on my last 527, relatively low and bolt cleared. 30mm tubes need to be pretty high, and I think look out of place on an action that is almost rimfire-sized.

I've also tried CZ, Warne and Leupold rings on 527s. Leupold were the most expensive and poor machinging actually marred the scope's finish. (I don't lap rings, that would have saved me some semi-serious $) CZ rings are crudely finished based on my memory of them but fine, Warne is what I'd suggest. EAW are superb (German) but I didn't know they made 527 rings. I'm ordering EAWs later this week from Nordic.

Haven't even held a 600, but had a trail in x39 on the short list until recently. Gonna wait to see what CZ says about playing footsie the gun-grabbing Liberals in Ottawa first.

2008 527 Carbine in 7.62x39mm here. Using the 1" CZ rings that came with the rifle I have a Leupold VX3 4.5x14x40 mounted. Using newer style bolt handle and no clearance issues from bolt and bell of scope is 1/4inch from the rear sight.
