It is because when the US left Afghanistan, they left alot of stuff. Taliban told them there is only a ceasefire for soo long. Dad was working on trying to get people out of the country.
 
Cadex is not at fault for this. This is unfortunately a reality of war and history has proven this. Opposite sides will take equipment and firearms. I am still very much in support of high quality Canadian made products.

Today's journalists haven't got an effing clue. Can you imagine if there was social media during WWII? The amount of equipment captured and used by opposing sides would have made their faces melt.

You can't have read the article very closely. There were 4 or 5 rifles with sequential numbers involved. Those are not battlefield pickups. There were also brand new rifles being displayed at a Russian arms bazaar or show.

It would appear a number of the rifles had been sold or sent to Italy and made their way to Russia from there.
 
Poly has had Cadex on their hitlist. They had slander on socialcancer calling their rifles military grade assault rifles, cadex politely told them they only made manual bolt action rifles. Made poly look like a bunch of idiots (which they are psychopaths, not complete idiots). If I had a tin foil hat, I'd suggest some 5th columnist, like Poly or some middle easterners, probably bought and sold Cadex stuff to Russian propagandists for slander purposes. The rot runs deep.

If that’s true? then I wish them all the best. Unfortunately this county WILL hit rock bottom before we can start up again. I’m certainly glad I’m not in my twenties, watching the CDS, Canada's top military officer crying on TV was more than I could stomach. I’m at a loss on how that will encourage recruitment & build the CAF with “war fighters” to protect us in the next decade. I hope the US offers a “retirement “ visa someday 🤞

Let's not forget China and others run amok with copyright infringement, If I were to try and disgrace country in these times I would clone ANYTHING in my factory. Further to this casing head stamps were done by a certain country to covertly say who was there when certain people were NOT there, just saying.......

We have failing defense because of foreign influence and corruption, like we are seeing in many aspects of Canada, the CCP and their Muppets here in Canada, I could elaborate but any half whit can see what's going on, covid was the primer and many took the bait.

You’re assuming that is not the goal. The govt has been systematically underfunding and dismantling our military for many decades. It has to be by design or massive incompetence. Neither bode well for Canada. The Lieberal govt’s absolutely massive debt with no investment in healthcare, infrastructure, nor defensive capabilities indicates a definitive course of action to weaken Canada as a country.
