Large Game Pics - Deer, Moose, Bear...

Driving out to my property this morning. 32 yard shot, he was betted down I actually had to wait for him to get up. the bolt went right through. That Garmin Xero is something else. Now hopefully I get my Elk tonight

I still can't believe how much easier it is with a crossbow. I don't think I'll ever rifle hunt again. It's cold, it sucks and there's tons of people out. Pretty happy that Alberta has an exemption for people that have disabilities.

Another one fell to my .303 Brit the other day at just under 200 yards, lung shot
I deviated from the 150 grain TSX's this year however, and shot this one with a factory 180 grain Igman , just because I can! I was told once their their factory ammo isn't very accurate, this is the second one I have killed with their 180's, neither went much further than 20 yards.

The 416 Rigby seems almost overqualified for a hippo on dry land
Hippo on dry land is no joke man, very dangerous quarry and thick skinned. I would say it’s a sensible minimum, I would feel slightly undergunned with a 375. It was an epic experience and I was lucky to have a frontal brain opportunity to drop him instantly. Cheers

congrats ;)
I have mixed feelings on igman hunting ammo. I've taken 3 deer with it using a BSA shtle 3* , 2 were clean pass thru the the vitals but one literally exploded on impact and I had to manouver and get a second shot. I remember back when it happened I had posted about it with some pictures of chunks of bullet jacket I pulled out of the ribs on the impact side. I use it for target shooting only now because of that experience and have a few 100 left. I get the odd split neck which could be a long chamber issue but I also don't keep the brass from that stuff either.
anyways, don't want to derail this thread with too much discussion, just thought i would relate that experience with that particular .303 ammo.

Yeah I don't, recommend that ammo for Lee Enfields , but it has been fine in my Ruger and P14.
I have seen it lock up actions in Lithgow and No4 Lee Enfields!
