Show us yer Calgary GunShow junk...

I saw a really nice .577 revolver at one table. But the guy didn't want to sell it! He said he would take $15,000 if I really, really, wanted it.
I didn't get to spend much time there, but it was a great show. Ther eis less junk every year, and much more high end collectable stuff.

RightO, I picked up this latest cover, 2nd from left. Stencollector may not recognize it from the reduced amount of rust. I think the seller thought the oxidization was gold dust and charged me by the pound.:p

More complaining :)

If the cover was such a bad deal, then why didn't you have one before now?

Besides, that wasn't rust, that was patina.

I see you are still missing one. There is a Canadian top cover with a rail on the side to utilize the TVS-501 (CarlG/C3) night vision sight. I had one, but sold it.:bangHead:

Another that I have seen around (but previously passed on....won't do that again) is the early C2 cover with the tangent sight built onto it.

Another bargain at the show was that Liberator pistol for $750. If only I had prohibited. (Although I do have a Liberator project in the mill now....details forthcoming).

I picked up some of those swaged 224 bullets, jacketed with old rimfire brass. They shoot reasonably well; within an inch or so, and those massive hollow points and thin skin should be entertaining in the gopher patch this year

Sounds like a great show ... :)

Can one of you guys do me a favor and send me the dates for next year's show?

I might just load ~Angel~ on a plane and fly out for a few days of vacation ... :dancingbanana:

Thanks ...

Badger

Same days as every year...good Friday and Saturday. If you want the real deals, buy a $50 table and come in on the Thursday afternoon. This also gives you 2 ribbons, good for the entire weekend admission

good show, I was looking for the odd bit of junk and got an Enfield CMk3 rearsight and a LB No2 bolthead complete for $20, I thought that was fair :D

and the $5 pistol cases were a good deal, got 2 of those, funny thing is one of the other tables had bought some and were selling the same case at $15 :runaway:

some other interesting bits but I was trying not to blow my budget :D

more of a social event to meet up with the other gunnuts at the show. :D

There were a lot of things that would simply move over to other tables and multiply in price. I had about 2 dozen Enfield bayonets with frog and scabbards for $20 each. One dealer took all the ones with the goofy looking flat bottom scabbards and bumped up the price on his table to $60.
Enfield magazines seemed to do the same thing as well. Anything below $40 would move tables and turn into $50-$60.
