Lewis Machine and Tool Company ARs

Anyone familiar with the ARs from Lewis Machine and Tool Company? From what little info I can find, it sounds like they make a fairly high quality product.

From two members of Questar.......With all their toys, they use their LMT's most at the Ranges. I can't offer more than that(technical info), other than the size of their eyes when they spoke about them.

Very well built and solid units. Not cheap, but you do tend to get what you pay for. As per the "Carbine chart", ranks right up there with the Colt and the Noweske in the top 3 for features.

I've seen/shot a few of them. (10.5" and 14.5")

Performance is very good, aesthetics could be better ... but performance is the key.

I have 3 myself. They are almost as good as the colts. It's really just small details (no taper pins, no park under the FSB etc). Really good rifles. I'm using one of their stocks overseas right now. I recommend.

I love my 14.5" LMT.

It shot well at 50 yards, (5 shots, one flier). I gotta try it out further.

Definitely tier A stuff along with Noveske & Colt. Those are what the Americans are buying on ARFcom if quality is top priority.

I was looking at Questar's website, and the price list for LMT has "LE only" written for anything under 16". Did you guys purchase them from another distributor, or is this "LE only" thing new?
I know that the US doesn't like exporting short barrelled rifles, but how come shorty Bushmasters, RRA's and Noveske's can be bought no problem, yet, no LMT?

You used to be able to purchase 14.5" and 10.5" lengths but State Department won't export anything shorter than 16" anymore.

Best bet is to wait for one to pop up on the EE.
