Hi, was wondering if someone knows if there are winchester wildcat mags that take more than 10 rounds or if they are subject to the same rule as the 10/22 since the rifle can also take 10/22 mags. Winchester doesn't make a handgun that takes the same mags as the rifle like ruger. Hoping there is a way as 10 rounds mags gets empty quick... Miss my gsg that I do not have anymore.

All the magazines greater than 10 rounds that would fit a Wildcat are marketed for the 10/22. If you want magazines for your rifle that have greater than 10 round capacity you have 2 options:

Modify the firearm to take Dlask Tuf-22 magazines. I know 10/22s can be modified but not 100% certain a Wildcat can be modified. Unless you have experience I would suggest a gunsmith.

Buy a Spectre Ballistics 10/22 magazine adapter to use Remington 597 magazines. I am not 100% certain this adapter will work in a Wildcat without modification.

Sadly no. Winchester has not made their own mags that hold more than 10. I assume this is because of how common aftermarket 10/22 mags are stateside, it's probably hard to justify the development and production costs. Especially when "can use 10/22 mags" is a selling point for this rifle.

It's too bad, the wildcat has a last round hold open which is a feature I personally love in a semi auto rimfire, and the mags would sell great in Canada due to them fitting 10/22 rifles as well. I just use the 10 round mags, if I NEED to blow off more without changing mags I bring my Marlin 795.

I don't have my wildcat in my hands, but I'm pretty sure the way the magazine release is designed would preclude dlask mags.

Plus isn't dlask winding down operations? I feel like I saw a thread about that not too long ago, and looking at their website the tuf22 mags don't appear to be available currently?

Then the only solution for you are the mag couplers where you can fit 2 or 3 10 round magazines together and do fast magazine changes.

I don't think Winchester is going to manufacture and market a magazine solely for the Wildcat. Our market is not big enough for them.

Edited to add:

There are 2.41 million PAL holders in Canada. There is an estimated 107 million firearms owners in the United States

That makes sense thanks!

I'm pretty sure Dlask didn't manufacture the TUF22 magazines, as they are basically identical to the HC3R magazines.

I think that Dlask is just the importer for the TUF22 magazines (as they built the TUF22 rifle), so them going belly up would just mean someone else would need to make a deal with the manufacturer.

I'm pretty sure they were integral to the development and production of them - that's certainly the impression i got from their posts on CGN when they were being developed. I don't think they made them in house, but I would have assumed they had intellectual property rights to the design?

I'm not familiar with hc3r mags. They look very similar, perhaps identical? Interesting...

Oh I can see that angle, if Dlask shuts down the IP for the TUF 22 magazine would be locked away with the company. I hope Dlask can forsee that and if he winds down can sell the rights or IP to someone else. especially the TUF 22 design.

They're not going belly up. Joesph wants to retire.
