Help with Ammo Ident

I believe i have Soviet 7.62 ammo. What i don't know is how to determine if it x39 or x54. etc.

help please.

"43" would indicate 7.62x39. It is designated M43.

I have the same one-sealed as well. Guess the '39' in the 539 doesn't mean/indicate it's x39?

When it was cold and snowy I dove down the identification rabbit hole on spam cans (my samples were x39). Here's some photo's to help you decipher what you have there:

Easiest way is package quantity. 54r is typically between 400 and 440 rounds. x39 is 600-700 rounds
