Gunsmiths near Hamilton area

Hi, I'm looking for a gunsmith around Hamilton that has experience with older firearms. I have an old Remington 1900 side by side that is loose and would like to have it looked over as its 120 years old.

I'm from Haldimand county so Hamilton is the closest city.

Any advice is appreciated
 
This type of work is very specialized, and beyond the capabilities of the majority of gunsmiths. To boot, a fella could easily spend 4 figures to sort out matters "loose" . Suggest you proceed cautiously. You could try SC Gunworks in Georgina.

Thank you for the reply. I'll check out SC Gunworks. I have to agree with you. Not many guys are working on these old guns anymore and the labour could easily cost more than the gun is worth. I'm just looking to have it assessed by someone who knows what to look for and can tell me what needs to be done. I can then make an informed decision.
