Well $2300 is the bottom of the price range in quality rifles now a day when you think rifles like the rigby and holland & Holland of this world sels for $25k and less expensive but uglier GunWork sels for $8-10k, I think $2300 is actually not bad considering all you get in that package. But yeah prices has gone up since 10 years ago!!

100% agree with you. It feels like prices are being pushed higher and higher on firearms, ammo, reloading components etc in an effort to see just how much the market can stand. And it's far outpacing inflation.

In Ruger's case, look no further than when Prophet River organized a special run of Ruger No. 1 Sporter in .303 British. Those rifles were $1200 in 2010. When adjusted for inflation, that is $1690. How much is a new No.1 Sporter in .275 Rigby? US$2450.99, which in our money is $3445. That is more than double what we were paying in 2010 (when adjusted for inflation). Why? I guess because people will pay that kind of money.
 
I think Ruger is a bit of a special case. They seriously cut production of the Hawkeye and No.1 rifles in favor of their American series, mostly offering limited edition/production models, artificially increasing demand/scarcity.

I've actually noticed ammunition coming DOWN in price, albeit very slowly, and mostly in common calibers.

$2250 to your door for a special production run Ruger 77 is easier to swallow than some of the prices I saw on them only a couple years ago.

This model is what the guide gun SHOULD have been IMO. That silly adjustable stock was ugly.
 
PR brought 6 in and they already landed but the wait list is over 40 people long. Somehow the stars aligned and I got in first, mine should be here in two days. Ill report back when I get my hands on it but I am very happy about the purchase. now a scope, Alaska arms bottom plate and next hunting season is gunna be great.

That is basically a redo of the Frontier rifle... with a full LOP stock, which is exactly what many did with the Frontier. Also, slimmer barrel and no forward rib. This will sell out quickly... they should have put it in a laminate stock, with slightly shorter forend.

The full length forend does look a little off, but being threaded, proportions will look right with a suppressor.

Your bottom rifle looks perfect, is it also 358?

I skipped over 358 Win and use a 350 RM or a Whelen.

Bottom is also a .358 Win. I also have an M77 Mark II Whelen and an M77 Mark II Stainless Carbine .350 Rem Mag.
