My 'new' 1954 30-30 (large photo)

Now who is getting all the guns???? let me see the pics too...if it is 1/2 as nice as the 30-30....you have got a real winner. Glad for you, buddy. We should get win38-55 to take pics and start a calendar or collection of great guns for us NORTHERN folks.

Actually, I am planning to produce a Calendar for 2009 featuring old Winchesters. It should be available in the fall.

Terry, I clean forgot to send you some 38-55 recipes. Your problems with cast sound interesting, and I am sure they are solvable. I think I'll start a separate thread on 38-55 reloading. I got my 38-55 Starline brass, my custom LBT 38-55 mould, and my custom Lee sizing kit and looking forward to trying out the new loads.

Well,I just realised last night that I left my camera back in NS, so I just might have to get someone else to take my pictures from now on :(
I'm sure my little sister is putting it to great use though!.

Matt

P.S Looking forward to trying out your recipes in my 38-55. Hoping I can find a nice Lyman tang to drop on it before then though.

Im in for a calendar.....as long as it is a limited edition "signed" copy......Nice rifle Kirk.

You could call your calendar "The 50yr Commemorative Kirk Edition".....how's that?:D

Heh, heh. I think I don't think my name will be a big sell, considering most people wouldn't know me from Adam. The way I plan to set it up is that people can just preview it and order it off a website. I've got to finalize the people who are going to do it (high quality job for dirt cheap is my goal). I've got one good candidate and I like their work and method.

I want to comment on your picture composition, great touch with the maple leafs. Also, leather sheaths and bullet sleeves are great. Leather stuff and old lever guns just seem right together. Nicely done. :)

Edit: wait a minute, that's a '59...it's not old and neither are you.

By gum! I just noticed the typo! It's a 1954 carbine, not a 1959. I just corrected the original post.

Toymaker, I'll get that 38-55 thread going this weekend.
