Its a thing on Nutz to be a Vortex hater. Think we should start a club!! Im old and have owned at one time or another almost every optic brand out there. From the cheapest junk when I had no money to the most expensive available once I became smarter and worked for myself. I could argue with many but the truth is they all make lemons. Ive owned 25 plus Vortex optics and never had a problem but have only owned Vipers and Razors. Still have 4 Vortex optics and its been long enough I dont really remember but never had an issue with any of them. If I read all the vortex bashers that are Leupold fanboys or love Nikon, well theyre the two that have failed me on more than one occassion. New Leupold that was pooched outah the box and two more that stopped tracking properly. Both were fixed with no problems and in a fairly timely matter but I hear dont go on a hunt with a vortex, well fortunately I wasnt on the hunt of a lifetime with a Leupold. Nikon have great glass but two of them fogged on me during a wolf hunt. They dont make hunting optics anymore and I have better binos than theyve ever made so lettem keep making birdwatchin shxt for the Antigunning folk!! Point is that all glass companies make lemons and its up to us to sort em out but Id put my hunt of a lifetime with a Vortex Razor before any Leupold product. PS I have a VX7 3.5-14x50 in theyre Granite or whatever colour with the Super expensive magnetic aluminum covers if anyone cares!!
