Hey all.
Wierd one.
Very little markings. Serial numbers don't match. Short barrel.
Bolt handle looks like a P17.
Looks like action and barrel one piece.
Wierd part is the barrel is twisted to the right. I wish guns could talk. There is a big gouge out the barrle in front of the action.

Can't see enough of the receiver to tell, but if it looks like a M1917 with the sight ears ground off, but without the machining marks where the grinding happened it might be a Model 30. After the war Remington had a pile of M1917 parts left over. They milled off the rear sight protectors, turned the receiver to barrel diameter and put sporting stocks on them and sold them as the Model 30. In 30-06 only.
