Ruger MKII

I have a bull barrel MK2

Also have a 200th American birthday edition MK1 that was smuggled into Canada. When it came into my possession, it was not registered. I did the paperwork and made it all legal. It's a little beat up and worn but its a fairly unique piece with a storied past.

NOTE: No, I was not the person who smuggled the thing into Canada. Yes, it is registered and fully papered.

I remember guys using the 10” ones for shooting rimfire silhouette , they shot like rifles . If you ever come across a pair of grips made by Clark Custom Guns of Louisiana , grab them . They made the the grip angle the same as a 1911. Had a pair and sadly let them go to another shooter who was just starting to shoot bullseye.
would like to try a set of those
group buy?

My Ruger Standard and my Mk 3. The Standard basically had no bluing left. Sand blasted it and gave it a bath in some cold blue. Was $150 at a LGS about 10 years ago.

The Standard took to the cold bule remarkably well! Imagine what would have occurred if you buffed it?

Ive Cold blued quite a few things before and never had anything turn out like this. I think the rougher texture of the sandblasting helped. I just filled a glad container and plopped er in. All in all still pretty happy with it. I'll post a picture of it sandblasted too.
