Adler RF224 vs Derya TM22

Trying to decide if I should get the Adler Arms RF224 (with the 11.7" barrel) or a Derya TM22. I've been leaning towards the tm22 but it's a couple hundred dollars more expensive. Anyone have experience with both/either of them? Hoping there might be some glaring differences that might make the decision easier lol

Thanks!
Buy an Armscor Rock Island TM22 Feather Lite from the Canadian site of IRUNGUNS for measly USD234.99. You will never regret it. I have one for nearly 2 years now and never had any problem with it. It shoots every type of ammo including hyper-velocity one without a hiccup. Trigger weight of pull is only 2lbs (my review is here: https://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/threads/armscor-derya-tm22-feather.2438899/). Recently, I attached a UUQ LPVO 1.2-6x24 and it works splendidly.

Scour the used market for a 10/22 someone has built up with a bunch of upgrades. People make cool builds all the time, get bored, sell it.... and build another lol. Find one within your budget that you like. (Look for upgraded barrel, trigger, stock/chassis)

Or, build your own. They are like leggo guns!

Here's a couple of mine 😃20251001_115235.jpg20250826_193552.jpg

Finally got mine to the range to sight in the Vortex Sparc and find out how it shoots. I tried it with a Ruger magazine, the factory magazine and a Butler Creek. I found no difference between the Ruger and factory magazines but the Butler Creek did not feed properly. CCI mini mags were pretty much flawless but some bulk CCI clean did not function well. Should be a good plinker and " chicken coop defense gun" with the mounted Olight weapon light. I do own 2 Ruger 10 22 as well.

I have both. The Derya seems front heavy and is very good qulaity. Nice build and paint. Mine is red and it looks kind of cool. No problems and will function with any ammo. Even the Quiet Semi Auto from CCI.

The Adler RF22 with the short barrel is also nicely built and I have had great success with the 597 adapter with mags. I alsofind the factory mags work great also. Two things, its loud (we have goats and I dont like to scare them) and it likes spicy ammo. Does not reliable load the Quiet Semi-Auto from CCI at 850FPS. It works with with the standard 1000fps CCI and really loves mini mag and stingers.

Trigger - Derya Wins
Weight Distribution - Adler WIns
Size and ergonomics - Adler wins (im a short dude with T-Rex arms)
Quality - Id say Tie
Accuaracy - I shoot better with the Adler likely because of fitment to my stature.

Whats missing:
Last shot bolt hold open from both.
Derya comes with no sights
Adler BUIS are not great

So I say a tie mechanically but I prefer the Adler for plinking at 33Meters

I hope this helps, and I hope everyone has a nice weekend.
Thanks for the detailed comparison. Did it work well with the 597 OEM mags or 597 Promags?

Oh man, the bottom pics is the best 10/22 I have seen. Can you share the details, how feasible it is to duplicate? Thanks in advance.

It's not hard at all.... Just expensive lol.

- SBI ST-22 receiver with the AR style charging handle.
- SBI G3 chassis. Tanodize colour.
- I have since changed the barrel to a carbon Volquartsen one but the one pictured is a heavy Dlask 16" barrel.
- Volquartsen TG-2000 trigger.

The only thing difficult to duplicate would be the Daniel Defense grip and stock that were custom Cerakoted (I pulled those off another rifle). But you can use any AR grip and stock you wish.

Thank you very much for sharing. You weren't joking about being expensive. This is going to hurt .

Save yourself some money on the trigger and just use a Ruger BX. The Volquartsen trigger pack is overkill for a build like this.
Makes perfect sense, thanks.

Just to confirm since I am new at this, with all the parts listed above including the Spectre G3 10/22 Chassis Builders kit, the only part that is missing is the Bolt Carrier Group. Is that correct or am I missing something else. Would the Kidd bolt (SKU: DAC13978) fit the SBI ST-22 receiver?

If you buy the builders kit you will need:

- Receiver
- Bolt
- Barrel
- Trigger group

I believe you will also need 1 rubber bolt buffer pin and 1 steel receiver pin (I can't remember if the chassis came with those but I do not believe it did). It does come with 1 screw in receiver pin for the rear of the chassis.

The Kidd bolt will work if you already have one... but I'd just go with the SBI bolt. It's a bit cheaper and it has a superior firing pin in my opinion. It's a round enclosed style similar to Volquartsen.

While you're at it... buy an SBI mag adapter and a couple 597 mags... they hold 23-24 rounds and have worked great for me!
