Scope mount for a 303

I have a friend who wants to mount a scope on what looks to be a 1947 Lee Enfield 303 .
Can anyone give me an idea if this is possible and where would the mounting hardware be available from .

No drill. No tap mounts from S&K or Bad Ace Tactical. Bad ace is in Halifax NS. I have both mounts , my preference is the Bad Ace. It’s lower and has more slots in its rail allowing more adjustments.

Judging by the year are we talking a No.4?

I have the bad Ace as well. Have not shot it yet but it mounted up nice and seems great quality.

Im really not sure if its a No4 or what .
Is there anything that identifies what model # they are ?
I really am unfamiliar with these rifles .

No. 4 has a flat sided receiver. On its left side should be No. 4, factory and date. Also possibly on left side of wrist is some information.
SMLE is round sided. Information is on the right under the bolt.

model is more important than the year. No1 and No4 receivers are quite different but both rifles are extremely common in the surplus market

Bigger question is does it still have the charger bridge theirs some floating around that don’t.

Both mounts mentioned lock into the charger bridge so if it’s missing the only way to mount a scope is to drill and tap. Hopefully OP can post acouple pictures.

Definitely a No. 4. Mounts I’ve mentioned will easily fit. The Bad Ace is probably the easiest to get. Will likely be just over $200 to your door. They ship next day. They are easy to put. Rings and a scope is the next issue. I cheek riser would also help as the scope will be higher than iron sights.
