Because it's a German movie not a Hollywood one. "Anti-war film Der Tiger is the first Amazon MGM Studios Germany feature to land a local theatrical release. David Schütter, Laurence Rupp, Leonard Kunz, Sebastian Urzendowsky and Yoran Leicher star, with Tilman Strauß and André M. Hennicke among the supporting roles". (https://ca.news.yahoo.com/anti-war-...s-Fm4enHvk6m6EWl7a8Mt68PlhdjVcNYyrBkQ2CXoN591).A shame it has subtitles.
Takes away from the movie.
I’ve found that once you get used to subtitles, you barely even realize they are there. It’s kind of odd, but your brain and eyes sort of synthesize the written and visual information and it almost becomes as if you are hearing the actors speaking a language you understand.By reading, you miss the video.
At least in my case.
East bound convoy.... Very juicy!I had no problem understanding what they were saying
Das Boot was also a German movie iirc
Die Brücke, also a good movie
Sisu was bad ass. Good movie.Funny, these days we have subtitles on for most shows we watch. Helps with background noise and missing hearing quiet voices. I will definitely watch this one. I have German background and can understand a lot, but not everything and certainly not when someone speaks very quickly, so will rely on the subtitles.
If you guys want to watch something a little similar to this, check out Sisu on Netflix. Pass on it if you don't like gory stuff.
