Der Tiger | Official Trailer

I thought it was ok - worth a watch.
I hate subtitles and don't mind the english overdub doesn't match what they are saying in German.

Not as good as Fury or other recent Hollywood movies for action, but it really isn't necessarily an action movie.
The ending was weird for me. Will have to check out Fury

Like the classic Das Boot; one of the most intense movies I have ever watched.
Agreed. Exactly like Das Boot, Der Tiger is primarily a bunch of shots of sweaty German men cramped into a small metal box looking worried and squinting at things.

It was all right. I saw the twist a ways off, but still liked it. Wish there was more tank combat.

ya they did a pretty wierd job on the ending. The "hints" along the way were not very obvious either but after the movie ended i realized they were in thier. I guess the dead SU crew who's skeletons weren't burnt was one of the endings giveaways.... i think anyways.
Overall it was worth watching because i think tanks are cool and all but no comparison to the movie Fury..... that one is a must watch.
For a tank movie..... der tiger was pretty realistic so i'll give it a 6 leaning into a 7.
Sisi is an awesome movie.... probably a little better than Fury even
Gotta see the second one now.

OK to good movie, not quite cliche. Not on par with other German movies like Stalingrad 1993 (don't confuse with later US movie), several versions of Die Bruke and so on, but still watchable.

Refusing to watch movies with subtitles is strange. First, you deprive yourself from a couple of dozen of great war movies, not to mention other genres. Second, if it's not hard for me watch English (4th language I learnt) subs and enjoy the movie, then for a native speaker it should be a piece of cake. This very movie I actually switched to Deu and enabled Eng subs. It's the way it suppose to be.

I did the same, switched to German with English subs. It worked well for what I couldn't pick up in German. I thought they did a good job presenting a more human aspect to the tank crew, rather than the usual villain portrayal in some other WW2 films. Horrific things absolutely took place, but there must have been significant moral struggles for many that were just following orders, on both sides. You'd think with the lessons learned, that could never happen again, but....

I thought it was an on better side of good for a movie, I thought the ending ending was kinda poor but all around decent movie compared to other movies regularly released. I would compare this movie to White Tiger with at times similar themes from different sides though most definitely better quality in The Tank/ Der Tiger it is a good watch since it does include some of the heavier historical incident's by proxy but not directly or specifically referenced.
