A hunt for Spank

It helps that I use to guide and the fellows I had the pleasure of hunting with are all guides or former guides. It was nice watching the birds reacting to the calls! We have shot limits on ducks this past week but the field with a group is much easier with the panel blinds. Caine the retriever was spent when we were finished. It’s so rewarding to watch a highly trained dog work!! This is the group minus myself . IMG_3085.jpeg

Great job boys! If southern Alberta did not have so much snow and cold temperatures in December, I would of gone-out on a final migratory shoot...............damn!

Looks like a real fun time was had by all.
Well done!!
no pics of the dog? or was he sleeping from all the hard work :ROFLMAO:
The door on the truck was opened and he took the command post in the heated passenger seat. That dog has over 200 retrieves in the last week and only two field hunts, the remainder has been the St.Lawrence River. He’s a retrieving machine but all the dogs off the sire Thunder have been like that. Just awesome genetics and a great trainer!!

Wow, you guys had a super hunt!
Well done!
I gotta get down there one fall! LOL
Well pal if thats a bucket list thing, Ill be glad to help you out and the accomodations are simple but comfortable and the wifes an unbelievable cook.
