Did my Canuck Pioneer semi come without recoil spring?

Early this week I got a great deal with a local store to snatch their only remaining Canuck Pioneer. However it took a downturn sharply after leaving the store and coming back home...

It came in apart so I have to put the barrel on. But the action is stuck. it's all the way closed and won't budge. With the action not in poistion there is no way to assemble the barrel, I contacted the store right away and they told me to contact importer. Well, guess I'm not going to the trap range this weekend afterall.

I thought I will try to fix it one last time without getting warranty stuff and shipping the gun away involved, so I took apart the trigger guard, and to my surprise, there isn't a recoil spring. Note there isn't a spring in the forend either. And the inside of the receiver looks off to me but I don't know much about semi shotguns. Or is the recoil spring in the buttstock?

I tried googling to find out which model is the Canuck Pioneer based on but to no avail. Canuck also deleted all info about the gun so it didn't help either.

So I here looking for info about it, and I didn't just buy a stick instead of a gun, did I?

Most times that I picked up a new gun at a store - even if made decades earlier - there has been an owner manual in the box. Many "new-to-me" firearms did not come with an owner or user manual, but I was able to find such on-line - also some U-tube selections have been very helpful to see dis-assembly or re-assembly sequences - also "exploded" parts diagrams.

There is almost no content for this short lived Turkish clone. And maunfacturer deleted the manual. I just need to find out what gun is this copied/based from.

Go to this site and look at the manual.

firearmsguide.com

They have printable manuals

There is a recoil spring under the fore stock.

Got an update yet or shops still closed for the holidays?

The bolt looks like its protruding from the action more than sees normal, has it slipped off the guide rails and got stuck in the forward position. Removing the charging handle might let you pull the bolt assembly out and install correctly.
