Reticle drives me nutz

I have never once seen anyone use the spelling "reticule" here.

I do see a TON of people using the word "grain" completely incorrectly ... as in, "what grain bullet?" Grain is a unit of weight, NOBODY would ever ask, "what pound of bullet". 🤷‍♂️

ok, so how do you ask for what bullet weight to use?
I might be in the TONNE (metric, but still a weight of people? But you wouldnt say "pounds of people"?) bunch of people that use it wrong.

What bullet weight do I use? 🤷‍♂️

Shooters have managed that question for over 100 years but this "what grain?" idiocy has only gained traction in the last 4 or 5 years.

Well since bullets are in grains or grams then it make sense to ask why would it be in grains?!?! Or is what weight bullet is the right formulation?

dont forget slugs in oz.

I am still not convinced to just ask bullet weight. Seems like too many units being used.

"What grain bullet" is the propper way, just like asking "can i go to the bathroom" in school, it's improper english, but we know what you meant.
We know they're more commonly weighed in grains hence why it's asked that way.

But i'm with you on reticule, never once seen anyone spell it that way, took a few replies on the thread before i realised what the OP was on about.
