Brno Fox 2 with an unusual action?

I'm getting the following gun sent to me shortly from Epps. It's a Brno Fox 2 in .222 ...

Now, as someone pointed out to me if you look at the action it doesn't appear to be a Brno action. Rather it is a Mauser action.

This is another Brno Fox Mod 2 in.222 Rem....

And this is a Mauser...

So, anyone see one like this or do you think I have an earlier build or did someone switch actions?

sure looks like a military style mauser action to me. it looks an awful lot like some of the huskies that trade ex is selling.

This is what they said in 2 seperate responses...

The Brno #2 (UG17980) does not have any specific proof date markings. The following icons do appear on the barrel, and on the receiver:
( T ) K

The reciever of this rifle has an 11mm dove-tail, and has been fitted with a scope and bases.

Markings on the left side of the rifle's receiver read as follows:

BRNO ARMS
FOX MOD 2

The right-side markings read: MADE IN CZECHOSLOVAKIA.

Well the tag in the picture says "BRNO FOX 222 rem".

Likely an older Brno made with a mauser action....

The second gun looks like the current CZ527, not the older Fox.

It is possible to make up a .222 on a M98 action - I sold a Parker Hale Mauser in .222 once. The rifle in the top photos may be a .222, but its not a Fox 2. It will be interesting to see what actually arrives.

Mystery solved!

LOL. Apparently they had sent the wrong pictures! I think the pictures they had sent were possibly of this gun as it was being sold same time... Here's the new pictures they just sent. And I just asked for the gun to be shipped.
