Help Identify this firearm

We've had this in are family for many years but no one has any info on it. Trying to track down as much info on it as I can.
Only writing on it that I could find is: R. Hall Kingston

There was an R Hall who operated in Montreal 1842-1855. Possibility of a Kingston connection? Any chance of finding a Kingston directory of the period? Of course, there are other Kingstons. R Hall may have been the maker or, more likely, the retailer.
The gun appears to be a typical British shotgun of the mid-1800s. Any visible proof marks? If you push out the two bolts - cross bars - that secure the barrel, with the hammer half cocked, and rod removed, the barrel should tip out. There may be stampings on the bottom of the breech.

Took it apart. No markings anywhere.
