Russian sks the best?

cant really compare the quality of the russian SKS45 to the norinco SKS bcos you can buy a new norinco and you cant buy a new russian , one hasnt been made for over 50 years , they are most likely refurbished, therefore making it hard for you to see the workmanship . however i believe the refurbs are better than the norinco (not the early chinese).

as for shooting , imho , no difference .

They likely have better fit and finnish than the late norcs. I think all SKS's are similar for grouping.

I loved my Yugo, it worked beautifully and was accurate enough to reliably hunt deer with as well. I would assume that the russians would be the same or possibly slightly better.

Yugos are more pleasing to the eyes however.
 
Russian made, Izevsk any year or Tula if it was made prior to 1954 would be my first choice. Second choice is Tula 1954 and up, then Yougo M-59, then Yougo M-59/66, then Norc.

At the very least it is a popular urban legend among weapon owners from former USSR back there and abroad. While it makes a lot of sense, I do not think it is confirmed - just some anecdotal evidence. Thus given a choice I would follow the legend, but if not, and my only option is say Tula 1954 or later - I will gladly take it :)
