I disassembled my rifle tonight for cleaning tomorrow. I was following the direction I have until two things happened.
1) I seperated the reciever from the bottom stock, I had a round metal dowel like piece fall away. It didn't look like it was broke off of anything, just came away.
2) The after barrel band moved and I don't know which way it goes on. Its thick on one side and thin on the other. Opposite ends have an equal bend.

Neither are described in my directions, and I hate walking away from a project with extra parts:confused: Anybody got any experience or thoughts on this?

The round dowel is the spacer for the "king screw" This is the screw that is just in front of the magazine. It prevents you from overtightening the screw and cracking the stock.

As far as I know, all Enfield barrel bands go on with the screw head on the left side.

As Stencollector said, that tube goes up into the hole in front of the mag.

The aft barrel band wide part goes up, thus the back of the handguard will be able to hook into it. Don't panic at all, very simple setup.
