The Wife wants to join me with sporting clays, so she shouldered lots of shotguns at Brileys last Saturday with pro help, while I snooped future purchases.

She settled on this 20GA Ethos, Benelli has nice attention to detail with lots of shims, front beads, very nice padded case, 5 flush chokes
with the IC installed. Feels very nice in the hands and shoulders nice, yes inertia but has a Progressive Comfort system on it, we shall see.....

You are one of the luckiest men alive. Enjoy it to the fullest while you can. Mine joined me in IDPA and long range shooting many moons ago. Be prepared for the day she out shoots you and wins a trophy. Just saying.

Very nice.
I'm dreaming of some clay target shooting right about now...
(And don't be a stranger at that other gun forum. Us suckers for punishment miss you over there.)

Missing Y’all also, just couldn’t get it to work anymore?!? Will revisit…….

Our son flew down this week, so we took him and had a blast today. The Wife shot her very first two sets of 10, got two on her first and three on her second, but she didn’t have a grip on the very first shot and it slapped her in the cheek pretty good, so I didn’t want her to push it and start getting a flinch. She’s feisty and knows a little more now of what she needs to do.

I tell you, there is something to this 20GA thing for me, I did well with my CXS previously and could do no wrong with the Ethos today, never missed once in 20 clays, but yes an easy course. The boy and I went thru 140 rounds each, even powdering a few on the more difficult green course, him with my 686 and me on the A400 both in 12GA.

Thinking on my next trip, l’m leaving the A400 12GA behind and just taking a 20GA and see what my actual score comes in at…….
