Trap gun upgrade

Hi everyone,
I’m looking to upgrade my trap gun from a Beretta 686 to a Beretta 694 ACS, as the 686 doesn’t fit me very well.

From what I’m seeing, a brand new 694 ACS is currently listed around $8,000+ CAD before tax. I wanted to ask those with more experience:

When do dealers usually offer discounts on the 694 ACS.

What price would you consider a good or fair deal for a brand new 694 ACS in the market?

I’m not in a rush and would prefer to buy new, just trying to understand realistic pricing and timing.
Any insight is appreciated — thanks in advance.

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for a sale.
If you don't want to spend $8k on a trap gun then maybe you should consider used.
I can't remember where I saw it but there was a used 682 X advertised just a day or two ago at a reasonable price and having owned one in the past I can highly recommend them. In fact I would go so far to say that they are every bit as good of a gun as the 694 ACS. If you can find a good one it will cost less than half the price of a new ACS.

Thanks a lot, try to find some used as well!

I believe there's beretta sales 3 times a year: father's day, labour day, and black friday (and i think sometimes christmas season). Great choice. 694 is a fantastic gun; I shoot a non-ACS 694. If price is a concern even after sales prices, the 688 is really lovely; and great upgrade from the 686. 688 sits exactly in-between the regular 686 and 694.

What's so funny.

Stoeger Canada runs sales through the dealers here about 4 times per year. Any Beretta O/U can be had for ~12% off during those sales.

This is accurate. There was a decent sale recently at Boxing Day.

I didn't realize until after some of the guns I potentially would have been looking at (at this point I am still trying to figure that part out) were sold out but there were some decent discounts (cant recall percentage but 12% sounds about right).

Are you stuck on the Beretta line up ? Have you considered anything else or no ?
If you're considering used..there's a few used nice trap guns..Caesar's and Rizzini's at my fav gun shop (the gun dealer) in McAdam NB

Have you looked at any of the new Fabarm firearms line up for trap ? Few of our squad have Fabby's for Sporting clays / skeet, me included. Two of the other guys are using the Velocity S/A for trap as well...with the adjustable rib, you can go 90/10 all out ! They love them so far...24's and 25's on the skeet field...more heads up shooting...softer recoil and they're saying it's easier to take the doubles. They're needing more SC practice to get them dialed in where they want to be.

We we just to TGD on Saturday...my bud traded his 688 in on the new Fabarm's sporting clays gun...The Infinite RS...a side by side with a high rib ! WOWSERS !! What a shotgun ! Handles and points soooooo nice. You don't even notice the barrels ! Cant wait to try it out...there's a line up of eager participants...LOL

Thank you so much! 3 times a year helps a lot! I saw a 694 acs on sale last black friday for 6750. Will definitely buy one for that price.
