More like $700-800 in 5.56 at least. A bit more for 7.62x39 from what I've seen. But yeah they hold their value. They're good little rifles.

I’ve had one for a little over a year.
Got it at IRG last Sept.
before that I had a Gen I of the same.
Both have been very accurate with hand loads. (1/2 - 3/4 moa)
Both have shot bulk ball ammo a bit better than the AR. 1.5ish moa
I like it enough to get more Ruger ranch rifles in other cals.
I just wish Ruger wud offer the ranch in other stock colours.
Its enough already with the FDE!

They have a bunch of guns that are on "backorder" 4-6 weeks out. They just seem to stay on backorder though and they wont return all your money if you find it in stock somewhere else.
