A new SKS shipment has arrived. BUBBA Version, Stripper clips, MCARBO Trigger Springs ...

My opinion- DO NOT buy a modified SKS from a retailer. Buy it private sale from someone local to you. Or buy, a clean SKS from a local and mod it yourself. I wouldn't want your SKS purchase being tied to your PAL. The government says they're coming for the SKS and they're starting with modified variants. The CCFR just released a video on how easy it is for the RCMP to get purchase information from retailers. They will know exactly who has what for every purchase made at retail since 2022. They'll be able to determine who owns these "tacitcal" sks.

They'd need a pretty big law change to do that. Only the receiver is considered a firearm. The stores don't need to log what stock it is in.

If you look at these retailers' websites you'll see the SKS in a stock has a separate SKU, aka is individualized and distinct from a factory SKS.

The sks's they are after have been altered to take 10 round pistol mags. If they go after mall cop furniture guns, it only shows they know nothing

Last time I went shooting... my friend's.....SKS he had the 2.5lb spring installed.... On my friend's sks. It dumped the whole clip with one trigger pull in what felt like less than a second. Me and my buddy looked at eachother like what in the holy bump fire just happened? Tried a couple magazines with the same results. Never had an issue with the hundreds of rounds before it and the firing pin assembly was clean and lubed. It sits in my....friend's... safe untouched until my... friend... can replace the spring. Proceed with caution gents.

'Last SKS I bought was $149 at Canadian Tire about ten years ago..
New unissued Russian Tula manufactured in the 1950s..

How times have changed.. Lol

I came to see the bubba version and I leave here disappointed. Mediocre.
I saw a glorious Bubba at a gun show. Guy had removed the gas tube to make it a manually operated gun. To hold the stock on was some galvanized duct strapping bolted to the rear sight and wrapped around the stock. The bayonet was also gone, and the stock had been lightly sporterized/cut down. The gas block was gone, of course, and I honestly forget how he had sealed the barrel port.

For the $125 I should have bought it. Instead I bought the Bubba Mosin next to it for the same price. About 1CM cut from the barrel and a really nice target crown put on. Trigger issues are what made it cheap (Bubba had broke and re-welded the sear), but a few shims fixed it for now.

Heidi Ho's, or the Witch her-selves intern?
(if)The SKS, (it)will be the straw' for many I feel. Will still be used as per by most, & will spark/light a fire under many many arses.

I've got a 2.5lb in mine with not a single misfire.

Firing pin was seized no doubt. You can’t add a lighter spring and make an Sks slam fire.
