'Murica. Stateside the Mares legs are handguns, adding a stock would make it an SBR. Cheaper and easier to get a handgun (well, was cheaper until the tax part got scraped but I think they are still registered?)Now that looks interesting.
I never understood the fascination with cutting a stock down and having something that is neither rifle nor handgun

People are fascinated by all sorts of things, one man's trash is another man's gold.... that said, there are times when" the smaller the better" comes into play. Unfortunately in Canada the people we pay taxes to don't trust us with all the tools in the tool box of self defence. Now that looks interesting.

I bought a used Henry .22lr mare's leg on the EE years ago and it came with a full length stock that the seller had... I sold it on the EE as it wasn't really needed .22lr given that it's easy to do a cheek weld for stability off hand and not be rocked by the recoil.Boyds sells butt stocks for the 22lr and 17hmr for 100 usd. Not for the centerfire Henry’s currently unless they have the same tang dimensions as a 1892 or 1894, which I doubt
I did mine in a different wayWhat did it cost all in?
Win-win.....I did mine in a different way
My mares leg is a 44 mag and I have a regular rifle in 45 colt
What I did was ordered the “fancy” wood set for my 45 Colt
I took the rear stock from the 45 Colt and put it on the mares leg
It was about 500 bucks all in for the fancy wood stock set
That I can understand, though I'm personally not terribly interested in a gun that holds less than 10 in the tube. I have revolvers in 44 or 45 for that.People are fascinated by all sorts of things, one man's trash is another man's gold.... that said, there are times when" the smaller the better" comes into play. Most people with reasonable upper body strength a .44 or .45 can be shot effectively with training. .357 is nicer for most people and .38special is a pop gun for kids, old folks and women..... then there is .22lr if the .38 special is to much to tame!
Full stock is an option in Canada as well. It's a pretty easy swap.
