Sako 85 stock

Fierce copied the 85 action and offers a few choices but their grips are for small hands. Boyds may still supply a stock inletted for the 85Short. McMillan offers a flat-top that needs to be properly inletted and bedded.
 
Hold up. I had antler arms (formerly fierce) send me a new carbon stock and it fit my 85 beautifully. 550$ CDN if I recall. Best aftermarket 85 stock for the $.

OP drop them an email and see if they have something of interest .
Might be an option should the importer for your rifle does not have a positive solution.

How long ago did you purchase the stock?

I’ve tried emailing and calling and can never get a response back.

Edit : actually just got a response back and apparently they no longer sell a stock to fit the 85 finnlight

I had the sticky stock issue on mine and I ended up stripping it a repainting it olive with black webbing. I think it turned out okay. Not really a fan of the rubber inserts but cheaper than a new for now.

I did talk to fierce firearms and he said the rage stock will fit the Sako 85 action.

Also kroseg out of New Zealand makes CF stocks that fit.

I was looking at the fierce website and they offer a rage and a rage LR stock to purchase. I believe these are made on 85 footprint.

I’ll be calling precision optics to confirm.

Got off the the phone with Rob from fierce, the rage and new rage LR stocks will both fit the 85 action with minimal bedding modifications. 2 week lead times.

I was quoted $1150 for the new rage LR stock which is similar to the Gunwerks Clymr. The regular rage is a bit less.

Seriously considering this option.
 
Antler just told me their Mountain LR stock is 900$.
That must be half-price compared the the Fierce Rage LR once you factor exchange and import.

Weird, i tried talking to antler and they said they wouldn’t sell me a stock. Did you call or email them? Good price though!

That’s 1150 Canadian, Rob is the Canadian rep.
