I prefer the 1301 myself. Seems lighter although I have not weighed each. I have the comp and that could be the difference. Both are great guns. Id suggest taking them both out and seeing which you prefer

While unanimous agreement on order will never happen, the majority of shooters would put the Ultima Patrol as the 3rd best tactical shotgun. 1 and 2 are more contentious, is a toss up between the Benelli M4 and 1301 Tactical. To the OP, do you want the 3rd best shotgun, or the 1/2 best shotgun?

Im looking at the same decision. Which one has a slimmer profile. Usually the fore ends are chunky on autos.
Is the 1301 a smaller firearm?

I believe the consensus is that the 1301 is the better than the A300.

There is a several youtube vids on 1301 vs a300. Good comparisons and worth watching. Both units are rated A+ with a slight edge to the 1301.
