Bought a Shadow 2 conversion kit it funtioned well but the accuracy was terrible 8inch group with most any ammo and tried different 3 guns at 20 yard targets. Put it away but didn't give up on it. The front plastic barrel block was loose in all 3 frames. Made a plastic shim out of a coffee can lid and fitted it between the frame and plastic block and tighten it with a additional brass shim. Just like fitting a barrel bushing in a 1911. With cheap standard vel slovakian ammo and factory iron sights the group shrunked to 2 inches. all free hand. Adding a red dot to try to make it better. Anyone with any input on their conversion kits? My Kadet 2 kit worked well on my sp1 right out of the box but the Shadow 2 kit was a dog but not any longer.

The shim is a good ideas. I didn't love the floating plastic block, but ease of conversion is a treat.

I added a fiber optic front sight right out of the gate and I had no issues accuracy wise with mine. Rings 5" steel at 20m all day for me. It likes high velocity copper plates 36gn. And isn't too sour with S&B 40gn standard or blazer LRN.

I used the Dawson Precision CZ P10C Fiber Optic Front Sights 019-600 Sight Height and Width: .220" Tall x .100" Wide.

I am lucky to have three S2 so a designated 22 is not a problem. The high wide sights sounds like a winner I am going to give that a try on the conversion.
