They're unreliable to a popular hunting forum in the US as they apparently dont hold zero from even soft impacts. People have lost trust in them. They are also not worth what dealers are charging for them in my opinion anyway. The weight and cds dials are nice but not if you cant trust them.
If you notice a lot of the 2-10x42 for sale it’s because Basspro had a pricing error recently and sold the $2000+ scopes for around half the price. People jumped on it so they could resell.
I was in the market for this Luepold and caught the deal. Its mounted on my rifle now. Also grabbed 8 pounds of varget the other week + 10% extra off for in store pick up. Thought the deals were to good but never questioned it.If you notice a lot of the 2-10x42 for sale it’s because Basspro had a pricing error recently and sold the $2000+ scopes for around half the price. Got that scope too. Also, they had a keg of H4895 for $450 a couple days ago, got that one too.I was in the market for this Luepold and caught the deal. Its mounted on my rifle now. well here is a guy that is on his gameOverpriced old technology with lots of known problems. I love them cuz they sell quickly to the Fan Boyzze and I make good money on every one I get rid of. The trick is finding a real one!! Lol
And clinging to their reputation of old is why they still sell scopes…i have had leupolds on my rifles since 1973 and still have them on my rifles would not use anything else
