1911 slide and barrel replacements

Vulcan Gun Refinishing just closed up shop and the owner retired. However, he kept a bunch of 1911 slides. His plan is to refinish and sell them when he gets spare time. I don't know what he has or what caliber. You will have to call and find out.

changing recoil springs every 1000 to 1500 rounds also helps to reduce wear.

That's what Jason Burton at Heirloom Precision recommends.

That’s why I bought two of them when they were offered. One is still new in wrap. The other is a favourite range pistol
 
I was looking last year but never pulled the trigger , but ##### armoury carries 1911 slides or at least used too

It has a custom engraved slide with custom paint and is 1 of 800 ever produced. I do not want to put wear on the finish of the slide by holstering it repeatedly. Im not really worried about the internals, just the finish

Is he actually closing shop? Just had him do some work on my semi auto browning 22. Literally heard from him on Friday.
