Thanks for your reply.I dont have the redding Mandrel kit but im using mandrel for 2 years now and see a significant improve. Not only in accuracy but mostly in consistency round after round. Better SD and ES. Smoother bullet seating (depending on what neck tension you want) and better concentricity. I just use my FL sizing die as a Body die( no decapping/no expander ball) and use a -0.002 mandrel after.
Thanks a bunch.While I haven't used the Redding product I have been using the Sinclair Mandrels for many years.
I remove the standard expander-primer assembly from the die and partial full-size the case. I remove the primer with a dedicated decapping die.
After seating with a straight-line seater I can usually achieve under .003" bullet runout. There definitely is a small improvement in accuracy with a decent rifle but it is hard to quantify how much better.
