Hey there, I've got a CZ 75B pistol, and I always liked the idea of the .22 Kadet conversion kit. (...In hindsight, I should have bought the dedicated Kadet pistol, but those days are over.) So i did some reading, and the Kadet kit has gone through a few iterations in the last 20 yrs. but it seems like the correct kit for my 75B is the SP-01 kit, which the vendor I used says fits the 75B and 85B. However, I got the kit today, and the design isn't what I was expecting. More reciprocating slide than the Kadet 2 version, and the "nose piece" for lack of better description hangs off the end of the barrel. Can anyone advise on compatability here, it seems like this would only work on the larger framed modern equivalent..or do I just need to tighten up the front site. Thanks.

I had a CZ 85 combat that I put the Kadet on and felt the same way, I think I removed the front sight and out a set screw underneath to help tighten it up. Kept it for a year then sold it with the 85, but that was before the rules changed. Over all it was ok, but not great.

I have all of the kadet conversions the orignal one fits the 75 and 85 frame contures perfecty the kadet2 does not . It is a perfect match for sp1 shadow frame conture. the kadet 2 looks out of place on the 75 and 85 frames but fits and the barrel and slide dont move only the bolt

My Kadet kit on my 75B. Damn I wish I would’ve kept it.
Thanks, this is very helpful, I couldn’t find any other images/reviews on a 75B. Here’s my question: does the non-reciprocating nose piece (where the front site sits) rotate on yours? Mine ‘spins’ on the barrel. To be honest I haven’t looked too carefully, just trying to suss out whether this is the correct kit within my return window. Did yours function ok?

Mine worked great. I regret getting rid of it. I’m not sure what you’re talking about. The slide and barrel swaps out the same as the original slide. I don’t know what you mean by spins on the barrel.

This piece has about a 1/4 of back and forth play. The only fastener I see is the small Allen on the front site, tightened it but made no difference. It’s grooved for the longer receiver on the SP01, which would keep it from moving, but on my 75, that’s not going to work.

As stated there were 3 kits the 75 the sp1 and shadow 2. the original 75 kit is no longer available

you have a shadow 2 conversion doesnt work on a 75 or sp1.

Advertised as the SP-01 kit. I had read the Shadow kit wouldn't work, so was careful to not order that one.
If your kit has the plastic nose barrel mount it is a Shadow 2 also the barrel is longer in the shadow kit than the in SP1 and the 75 and 85 kit. Your pics are a Shadow 2. The sp1 75 85 frames are the same length and the sp1 kit fits both.
