At IWA 2026, Hunt Group unveiled the G12 — a 12 gauge shotgun styled after the legendary HK G3 rifle.

Yes, it has the charging handle. Yes, you can slap it.

The G12 is a gas-operated 12 gauge shotgun with an 18.5 inch barrel, aluminum upper and lower receivers (T6 aluminum), and a 4140 steel barrel. It feeds from detachable magazines in 2, 5, and 10 round capacities.

Furniture options include synthetic or wood stocks, and the stock and pistol grip are compatible with original G3 components. The gun also features G3-style diopter drum sights, sling loops compatible with HK-style clips, and multiple Cerakote finish options including black, OD green, and tactical gray.

The barrel is threaded for chokes and is reported to be compatible with Beretta-pattern chokes.

Retail pricing is expected to land under $400 in many markets.

It is not a G3.
But it definitely slaps like one.

So someone was able to take a pig of a gun and make it more of a pig of a gun!?
Don't get me wrong, I have fired the G3 extensively and enjoyed it, along with FN's, M14s, OG AR10's and the G3 is the last gun I would pick if I needed it for "exigent" circumstances.
At $400usd I would buy one.

I almost fainted when I saw this evil baby killing weapon of mass destruction glaring at me when I opened this thread...😳😳

That's awesome. Where do I buy one??!
But who wants to bet the Serge wearing tards will call it a variant and ban it?

I don't think I need one, but someone else should buy it and let me shoot it just to be sure.

We should have a betting market on whether it gets banned as a variant or just because it's a semi-auto centerfire that takes removable mags that hold more than 5 rounds. Either way, there is no chance of it being legal here.

I'm not usually one to care much about non-traditional shotgun designs, all those AR-ish ones and the bullpups never really caught my eye... but this one? I might need to buy this one if we get it.
