I see they have made a New Gen 2 Ruger 10/22 with some really good upgrades.
When will Canada get them ?
I have looked and found none around here.
Some folks having been referring to it as a gen 2 or New revised.

Are you talking about the new SBR models? I think they'd be Restricted due to the folding stock and short barrels?

Curious what they'll cost in Canada either way...

No,..its a REGULAR 10/22 with tons of new upgrades.
they have a 2lb fancy trigger as well. different bolt hold thing as well.
the barrel is mounted better as well . different stock shape.

Maybe some dealers could chime in and let us know.

I have seen a last round hold open option with a pull and release option on the charging handle as a new option on Rugers sight. Along with the BX trigger . But i dont recall it being labelled GenII

Threaded muzzle too.

Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. (NYSE: RGR) is excited to announce the introduction of 10 new models of its recently upgraded 10/22® rifle. Each new model builds on the proven performance of the 10/22, enhancing a platform celebrated for its rugged reliability, adaptability and iconic status in the rimfire world.

With this expansion, the upgraded features previously available only in select versions are now offered in a broader range of configurations. All new models include a BX-Trigger®, a match bolt release and – for non-takedown models – a receiver with an integrated rear cleaning port for simplified maintenance.

These new models offer versatility to match a wide range of shooter preferences to fit almost any need. Consumers can choose from threaded or non-threaded barrels of various lengths, takedown or traditional models and stock options ranging from Magpul® and Hogue® to Ruger polymer, modular

This new Rugger 10/22;) has the original Ruger BX Trigger Group that has been available for several years......:)

The bolt release stop has been modified at the factory to mimic the release upgrade that most 10/22 owners have completed on their guns. Ruger calls it a Match Bolt Release.

The new receivers have a hole drilled in the rear of the factory receiver to allow a cleaning rod to be inserted from that end for cleaning.

Some of the Polymer stocks have M-Lok slots.

I don't see any changes to the V-bloc barrel attachment.

One can only assume if Ruger is supplying these new 10/22's with the BX Trigger, they probably made cuts elsewhere on the rifle to accommodate these changes.

I would be cautious on this new design, as nothing comes for free, and unfortunately Rugger has some real quality control concerns........:(

Changes to the 1022........
Every year Ruger introduces some new variations of the 1022, this year's are

Receiver now has a hole covered with a plug to allow cleaning from the rear , Barreled Action must be removed from the stock. Bolt, Charging Handle , Magazine and Trigger removed from the receiver to do so.

No change to the v-block system regarding barrel attachment.

BX Trigger (this Trigger has been available on some other models and has been around for sometime as a factory add on) is now Standard equipment, not new or fancy, Trigger pull varies , though usually better then the standard.

Bolt release changed to match quick release available from after market.

Stock shape has changed slightly, to imitate Magpul, some stocks with barrel bands discontinued. TD Stock continue to have a barrel band.

More models with Threaded barrels and with 16.1" barrels.

Factory Short barrel models introduced, prohibited in Canada not because of barrel length, but because they don't make the 26" length with the factory folding stock.

Check them out on the Ruger Website

Dante has some in stock. Others might also just gotta look at the model number, the new ones are 32000 and up.

Ok so Ruger isn't calling them a gen2. That explains why I couldn't find anything.
sorry...I was just reading some articles and they were calling it a gen2. maybe thats its new slang name. something like the Norinco T97 gen1 then gen 2 then gen 3 after doing up grades
